    Rebuilt 700R4

I have rebuilt 700R4's that look like the #'s were ground down. After a clean and closer look. The #'s were still there. Just saying. (Rear pass side) I have heard of rebuilder's doing that though. The only other way to tell the difference is knowledge. building enough of them you can tell the...

Talked to holley this morning. He said my fuel pump is bad because as soon as I connect the bypass return hose the pressure spikes up to like 20PSI when I only have a 14 PSI pump. WTF???? In my mind the regulator should only let 6PSI to the feed(carb) and overflow goes back to tank.

Borgeson 12.7:1 Ratio. Just wow!!! 1 1/2 turns lock to lock

I could not be happier with this setup. With the Borgeson shaft it feels like totally solid. Lock to lock its 1 1/2 turns. the frame got welded up so the plate was not needed. Would not work anyways. Details inside. This was well worth the money. If you have a performance truck, you need this.

    86 C10 454 . Help with fuel return line. Pic's inside.

Well it dont matter what I do. I used the 5/16 vent line as a return and it does the exact same thing I even blew through the tank switch and it was easy to blow through into the tank. Im guessing a BAD regulator. I might just go ahead and pick up a red pump. Do it right and dont look back. If I...

Yup mine does. Thats why I was thinking I could use it. I would be stuck using one tank but thats ok with me. Im sure I would need a vented gas cap also

Im a dumbA@@. :happy175: I been saying the size wrong this whole time. Hogdaddy is correct on size i been saying it backward. (3/8" supply, 1/4" return and 5/16" cannister) So yea, the 1/4 line must be to small for a return.

Im thinking I could just buy a vented cap and use the one tank by using the vented line as a return. I know I could just buy a Red holley 6PSI pump ($180) but why when I already got this set up. Need to just make it work correctly:cheers:

I only have 2 lines coming out by where the mechanical fuel pump use to be. 3/8 and 1/4 the the bigger 5/16 line runs to the canister

Thanks HogDaddy. I am using figure #2 setup exactly. Then I have a filter before the carb just because I had an extra!

here is a update. I followed the 1/4 return line all the way from front to back. There is no kink, bends or damage to the line. I blew air through it and its clear. I unhooked it from the fuel switch. I reconnected the return line at the regulator and left the hose disconnected at the rear tank...

Mine is 86 non EFI. Im guessing the tank switch wont take pressure being they were made for mechanical pumpso_O

Yea, when everything is hooked up(correctly) And I turn on the pump, I can see my fuel hose expand like the return line is not flowing. Thats why I was thinking the tank switch valve was not letting it pass through the valve. Might not be able to use high pressure for a return through the valve...

    86 C10 454 . Help with fuel return line. Pic's inside.

Everything is plummed correctly. I have the 3/8 for fuel and have the return and vent line. The vent line that runs to the charcoal canister is larger than the return line. Thats why I was wondering if I could use the vent line as a return line since it was bigger. Im going to run air through...

Could it be the fuel is not pushing through the tanks switch valve? I dont mind using only one side of a tank is I have to . I need this BP to work correctly.
