    Custom Hood Ornaments

got one of them. mine was used and a little rusty so i sprayed it black to match my truck couldn't bring myself to start chopping holes in my hood, or have some a-hole walk by and rip it off, so i got a super strong earth magnet, drilled a hole in the bottom and epoxied the mag into it. i can...

    4” Lift K20 Bilstein 5100s too short.

yeppers same prob, too short shocks. called the manufactor and told them they were too short (8" lift). after sending them a pic of my susp, they sent me shocks for a 10" lift and (bonus) told me i could just keep the shorter shocks.

    Extremely loose steering

when running bigger tires, there are a few things you can do to make it steer better. besides the obvious, checking your tie rod ends, draglink, pitman, etc for wear, best thing to do is get rid of the reman box and get a quality built box. the quality of a reman is a crapshoot, and bigger...

10 inch lift and 37 inch tires on 88 suburban

actually my truck is a little over 7' to the drip rails and the camper overhang is 4' 4", just under 12 ft tall. prob right at 12 if ya count the fridge vent. you do have to watch out for low bridges, low power lines, low flying airplanes...... and with a wheelbase bigger than a 2 dr JK, flex...

10 inch lift and 37 inch tires on 88 suburban

well, i have been wheeling lifted rigs since the late '70's when there was not nearly the selection of equipment there is now...and i do live in the mountains if your having stability probs, it ain't built right. almost 12 ft high wit the camper and it gets us out to where "there is no people...

wouldn't worry about the stability thing either. it's 'bout as accurate as saying don't sit too close to the tv or you will wreck your eyes, or self loving will make hair grow on your palms... i laugh at "stability"...

    New Gas Tank

find a good tank first, then find a vendor who has that tank at the best price. i replaced the tanks in my crewy with Spectra tanks. there not offshore, made in Canada and their a tier 1 supplier to many auto company's. very good quality. i replaced my tanks in 2010, 2 coats of Por 15 and 2...

10 inch lift and 37 inch tires on 88 suburban

wow.... lot of negativity towards lifted trucks... driving my crew for 20 yrs, previously a lifted k5, lifted 71 jimmy, lifted k20, lifted gladiator, lifted sub (x2) and done right, they aren't any worse to drive than a stock truck (maybe a bit bouncier ride but that's about it). never had...

10 inch lift and 37 inch tires on 88 suburban

i run 38's and 42's on my '85 crewcab for about 20 yrs. in that time wit big tires, first off i would be ditching the axles you got and upgrade to some 1 tons, D60 and 14B. big tires will tax your truck and unless ya drive like ya got an egg under the throttle, a 12b will have a hard time...

my '90 stepper daily. bought from orig owner, 40 thousand miles in '95. 27 yrs later still driving it to work and the bush. this is a truck that truly has spent 1/2 it's life off the beaten path. clear coat is peeling, paint is off the hood and roof, misc dents, some rust, 300k miles now, runs...

    dual battery conversion

dual batts in my crewcab. used to run an isolator- nothing but probs, went thru 3 of them. i wired mine in parallel. simple, cheap, easy. if ya got a big block or diesel, it doubles your amps for a good kick at turning them over. i run 2 1100cca rv batts with a $10 manual batt cut-off switch...

What kind of lift kit would you recommend

the op has one of the best types of truck to lift. being long, crewys are very easy to lift with minimal work. i got 8" springs in my crew with cut out flares, makes my 38's look small, my 42's fill the wheelwells nicer. with a 4" lift, seriously doubt you will need any driveshaft mods. with 8"...

The Future of Battery Electric Vehicles (and I don't like them)

libtard? oh yeah, here we go... another brainwashed nut job i'm sorry if you can't handle or don't like facts, but that's your problem-not mine. do you always lash out like this in a dis-agreement? and i couldn't give 2-sh!ts 'bout politics. i don't care who runs my country, who runs your...

The Future of Battery Electric Vehicles (and I don't like them)

just 150 birds over 10 yrs? that's like 15 birds a year, or about 1.3 birds per month. how many birds a yr get smashed by jets, cars, semi's, trains, ....bet ya it's a lot more than 1.3 per month. even plain old windows take out more birds than any wind turbine. 150 kinda pales in comparison to...

first off, i'm not a lefty, or a righty, hate all gov whether your a con or libby-too many people get stupid when it comes to politics, and ain't interested in debating which leader is the biggest *****. what i can't understand is why everyone is so down on ev's. if ya don't like 'em, don't buy...
