    I presently have the dash top pad removed from my 2004 2500 HD Duramax, if you want me to look for anything specific or take some pictures. (Mine doesn't rattle - but the HVAC is wonky). K

    I broke the rear end in Columbus one year, too. I noted that I had parked in that same pit spot during both of those events and my buddy replied: "I think I'd park in a different pit spot". At least it wasn't raining when we did the trans. K

    Joining late, but I'm a floor jack kind of guy as well. I haven't had much luck with the scissor type transmission jacks because mine tends to veer off to one side or the other, dumping the transmission off when it's under the car. Plus I have to slide the trans under by itself and get it up...

    I don't recall now why I didn't order the dual tanks. I had them on my '80 stepper. I imagine I was just trying to trim the initial purchase price a little bit. I didn't even have A/C at first (I caught the order and added a/c as soon as I found out I was moving to the DPG. K

    No. Once you've removed the dually fenders you'll find the wheel openings have been hogged away on the bedsides and added brackets to facilitate the install. You will have a bigger mess on your hands than you do now. K
