Exhaust single to dual on a tight budget - Then we get into some after issues

Tube running boards/steps are something that you have to learn how to stand on, and how to pivot off them. My crew cab came to me with tube boards and since it's a one ton, they are needed to get in and out of it. Best to step on the rubber platform, but if you have to step on the tube, there is...

    Show your daily driver

My '97 crew cab, Rawhide. Only has 133K on him, 5.7 Vortec like my Burb. Bought him last year, from the original owner's family. And he does do some work from time to time, besides hauling the 3 of us around.

    Double Dingo's 1991 Jeep Cherokee

I don't think that's just there... there's hardly anything resembling a "traffic/vehicle having illegal equipment" stop in the greater Houston, Texas area anymore. Especially when so many traffic stops end up being pursuits, cause idiots wanna get on the news. Recently we had a smart guy in a...

    Double Dingo's 1991 Jeep Cherokee

And the first vehicle in the US to have composite headlights, after everything had had sealed beams since the 1940s...was the '84 Lincoln Mark V, introduced in early 1983. I remember seeing them at the annual new car show in Houston.

    New from Northern Colorado

Welcome from Houston, TX, I love my '97 crew cab (except for parking it LoL). It's big, but it's versatile.

Better illumination of gauge cluster possible?

Lot of stores don't have the 168 any more. We always had them, but that was because they used them more back in the day. Dad also carried many items that he used; I remember him explaining to customers about the brightness difference on the gauge clusters and backup lights/license lights.

Yup that dowel pin is the Cummins Achilles heel.

Glove Box Latch 73-87 (91) Chevy GMC Trucks

Good to know! All I remember is that Dad had to work on most of the glovebox doors in our trucks, and that's what I remember him saying about it.

Where are you located? Those seats are WAY nicer than the ones in my Burb.... interior in this burb is gray instead of tan though.(my other '99 burb had the tan interior, both are pewter outside.)

    Blower Motor Gasket?

    Yup that's what it's called.

    Blower Motor Gasket?

Back in the day at our parts store, we had a box of it from one of the HVAC parts suppliers. Strings of it, laid on wax paper between the layers.

    Blower Motor Gasket?

Yeah, like you use to seal the halves of the evaporator case. I don't recall ever seeing a gasket on any of our squares (and with 8, we changed a few blower motors). My OBS trucks don't use a gasket either, but that's probably because they ground through the case.

What new tools have you got lately?

That's neat, what do they run price wise?

Glove Box Latch 73-87 (91) Chevy GMC Trucks

IIRC square body trucks never had a factory locking glovebox. My Dad used the latch and knob from the 68-72 GM midsize cars, I believe....I know it was an earlier model than our square body trucks.

Better illumination of gauge cluster possible?

Yes. #194 bulbs are stock, they're 2 candlepower. #168 is 3 candlepower so half again as bright. Also a good upgrade for the side markers and license lights. Don't get #161 as they are only 1 candlepower.

    New 0 miles crate engine/old Odometer/vehicle registration?

I think after a certain age, vehicles are not required to report mileage. My crew cab says "exempt" on that blank. It was last registered in 2010, when its title was changed to the heir of the original owner.
