Have i decoded this VIN correctly????

Well at least there you're ahead. This axle upgrade is something that would be done on a K10 if the owner wants to do a lot of 4 wheeling.

Have i decoded this VIN correctly????

I'd be concerned about the crack in the cab near the corner of the rear window. Might be Bondo or rust under that paint; paint can crack from extreme temperature shifts too.

    Made a new tool

Foodservice shelves, good choice. I see those at work, and we can put heavy stuff on them. Also the ones over the sinks allow things to drip dry.

    Sbc dumping oil

What I've been doing on my 350 trucks on the oil filter gasket, is coating the new filter's gasket with fresh oil(easy to do if you put some oil in the filter anyway) and I leave a very thin film of oil on the mounting surface (both have the towing package so they have the aluminum adapter that...

    1986 GMC Sierra 2500

Crew cab long beds were available in the square body trucks as 20/25 series (3/4 tons) and 30/35 series (1 tons). By '92 when the OBS crews and SUVs were available, the crews were only available on the 3500(1 ton) platform. I have one of these, a '97 model. Dad always wanted a square body crew...

Square body truck diecast for sale

Yup and he works for an a hole too! I think the wrong year thing is more with Jada Toys than anyone else; every time they have this casting out they call it an 80 when we all know it's an 81-82. The casting originally was used for the Stranger Things Sheriff's Blazer, which is an '84 I think...

    Instrument Bezel Referb

Silver paint marker might be the best way to go on the trim. Many years ago I hand painted that on a couple of our square body trucks. Even with a very steady hand, it's difficult to get it all painted and not go over an edge or two.

    Rear Bumper 1986 K10

Actually the "rear bumper delete" was a thing well into the OBS era. My '97 CCLB has that option, and an aftermarket or dealer installed rear bumper that is close to, but not exactly like, the factory type. Has a big dent in it, that it came to me with, and eventually it'll get replaced.....

    Rear Bumper 1986 K10

Our '78 Sierra shop truck was ordered and delivered with no rear bumper. Had the plain white one on the front. IIRC after it got badly wrecked a year after we bought it, Dad ordered the painted bumpers with the black plastic pads on them, for front and rear, and had the body shop paint them...

Looking At Buying 1997 Cheyenne C1500 As Daily Driver Feedback Please

One thing I forgot: the '94 and '95 OBS trucks have several one or two year only parts, that are specific to those years(or only '94 or only '95). '94 is the last year for the early interior, but they have the new style grille and lights. The '95 has the new interior, but is still TBI and IIRC...

OBS seats in your Square. Who done it, Whats needed?

If you're just looking for an OBS full bench seat(not a 60/40 split bench) try the rear seat in the crew cabs. Usually they're not as abused as the front seats. A Silverado will usually be cloth/velour, occasionally leather, and the Cheyenne and Scottsdale will usually be vinyl. And the CCLB 's...

Looking At Buying 1997 Cheyenne C1500 As Daily Driver Feedback Please

In July '22 I bought my crew cab, '97 C3500 CCLB, 5.7/4L80E/4.10 FF. Very capable truck, just a pain in the backside to drive and park in confined spaces. Bought it from the grandson of the original owner, had only 122K on it! We've put another 11K on it since purchase, including two trips to...

Show me your 8 lug wheels!

I like these too, want to get a set for the crew cab. I also like the H2 aluminum wheels, but they are even harder to find and are 17" so new tires would be required with them. Whereas the PY0s use the same size that I already have, which is great since I have a new pair of tires (BFG commercial...

Show me your 8 lug wheels!

Here's some pictures of the wheels I have. 8 lug slot mags, Shelby branded. They are 16.5". Two are 8.25" wide, two are 9.75" wide. They are in good shape, no curb rash or wallowed out lug holes. Also I have a set of steel wagon wheels that are 8 lugs, but I'm not sure of the dimensions of them...
