    74 c10 5/7 Drop-Will It Rub??

You don't do anything to the inner fender, you roll the lip on the fender like where the trim attaches.

    74 c10 5/7 Drop-Will It Rub??

Not necessarily, people run that size just not as frequently as the 245/40. Drive it an see how it does, if you can live with it the rubbing on the inner fender won't hurt anything.

    74 c10 5/7 Drop-Will It Rub??

A 255/40 is a bit taller than the 245/40 that most people run on that drop an it occasionally rubs on larger dips. Yours will rub more frequently with the taller tire....

    Mangled Bolt Top Shock Mount?

Some lower end shocks and all factory shocks come with hardware like that. As squaredeal91 mentioned put vice grips on the outer washer an loosen the nut. Some wd40 or similar will help if you spray the nut an let it soak. When they install that hardware on that they rivit or swedge the end of...

What Air management for ‘89 crewcab?

I think it would do fine, you just need an appropriate sized tank, compressors an lines. Spring for the 3H though, the height sensors aren't hard to install an then it will automatically compensate for loads to keep it at the preset height all the time. With the 3P it'll go to the same...

    Shuddering when braking

Gently apply the emergency brake while holding the release handle. If you feel the same vibrations it's from the rear. If you don't it's in the front.

    Show your daily driver

The grand daughter had this one for a bit first an her kids made a pretty good mess of the back seat but I think it'll clean up decent. Still think it was a good deal.

    New daily driver

I wanted to replace the lower window trims, $120/each x4. The side panels on the console were coming loose, $320 each side. I was always worried about having a lifter issue, an that was gonna be a 3-5k repair, to do a delete and tune anyway. Idk I guess the novelty of it wore off some, it's...

Bilstein HDs on 77 C10 with drop spindles

Yes stock length is what you need. Drop spindles do not alter suspension height or travel. The only thing that moves is the spindle axle location, an that's what gives you the drop.

Need ideas for a modern steering wheel.

Like I said in my other post the rivets an the groove are abrasive to your hands on a longer trip. Anything over an hour sucks. The back finger grooves are machined into the base wheel. It's all metal an the front half wrap is wood or vinyl covered if you pick that one.

Need ideas for a modern steering wheel.

It is the same metal on the back "half" as the spokes etc. Still doesn't get so hot you can't hold it though. Worst case put a microfiber over it when you're parked. I sold hundreds of these an no one once complained of that being a problem, My C10 is outside alot in all seasons an never had...

Need ideas for a modern steering wheel.

Same design wood wrap I have, I hope you don't learn to hate it like I did. It will look good in the truck though. Again, never had a heat issue or problem with mine in the sun, not sure what coating FS puts on them but they don't get that warm.

I might have messed up buying shocks. Pic's inside.

KG5409 for gas a just. Collapsed 9.88" extended 14.88" your fine at 12.5, right in the middle. That truck isn't lowered in the front, doesn't look like it to me anyhow

I might have messed up buying shocks. Pic's inside.

Kyb 344068 These will allow the front to lay the a-arm an still not bottom out the shock (you'd have to remove the bumpstop first) there is plenty of travel in the oe replacement shocks for these trucks. Run these on the front for stock, dropped it don't matter. I've put many of them on an...

Need ideas for a modern steering wheel.

I have a riveted wood wheel with a groove from forever sharp. Looks great, sucks to drive long distance with. The rivet indentations an the groove make your hands tender an you can't get away from them because they are to close together. Anything over an hour is rough. Just some info if you...

    Sniper EFI fuel pump

I always recommend the 87 model tank. It's better to have the baffle for sure, but as long as your vigilant about not running it below 1/4 tank you should be ok without it. If you run it low without the baffle you can have issues with starvation on turns or acceleration. The 87 tanks are not...
