    It does meter its own idle, you have to set the baseline though, just like a carb.....

    I should have asked too if the IAC % was really high when it tried to run. That's a sign the blades are closed to much as well. Usually you can hear the thing hissing too. Like trying to breath through a straw... Like I said, I always give them 2-3 turns in to open them before the initial start

    It should be 6 lug if it's a 67-70. 71/72 were the first years for 5 lug an they are 5x5. Most Chevy are trailing arm suspension with coils, GMC were more leaf spring like a square. Do you have any pictures you could post? I don't think a squarebody gate would fit.
