    front shock recommendation

How much did you cut them? I generally use a KYB 344068 on the front with up to a 3" spring. This is a stock replacement C10 shock. Youll actually hit the bumpstop before you can bottom out a stock length shock. I also run these on my personal truck that's bagged an they have about 1/8" of...

    305 carb to Sniper

No there won't be an issue, you can just go in the program when the motor has been swapped an increase the size of it.

What have you done to your square lately??

Yep I just removed the factory plastic one from 99 7.4 because the cap ears were cracked an the gear was getting some wear. They will last but the aftermarket aluminum ones are alot better.

What have you done to your square lately??

The vortec 4.3/5.0/5.7/7.4 are all picky about caps an rotors. Next time it needs replaced get a set with brass contacts. I've had better luck with those. For some reason that style distributor is bad to collect moisture an the brass doesn't seem to be bothered by it so much.

    Flip Kit Recommendation

I like this one: https://tinworksfabrication.com/product/1973-1987-c10-rear-axle-flip-kit-6-drop/ Or this one https://www.summitracing.com/parts/upi-6410 I've used them both, if you want the notch later down the road the tin works stuff is top notch. Don't forget shock extenders to correct the...

    Lowering a 1984 silverado

4/6 you can do without a notch depending on how you plan to use it. Don't buy a kit just get the parts an buy good shocks. More info here: Thread 'Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!'...

    Lowering a 1984 silverado

Nope, depends on how he lowered it an what shocks are on it. A flip doesn't require a notch just to cruise around

    Sniper In My 1970 GMC

Looks great, if you did an external pump do yourself a favor an start saving for a rear mounted tank that will allow an in tank pump. 67-72 are hard on external pumps due to the distance they have to pull the fuel. Also get the laptop software, go in an limit closed loop an learn down to about...

3 speed saginaw replacement with 5 speed

I did the nv3500, not all of them are internal slave but they all are setup for hydraulic operation. It was basically a bolt up. Further details are here: https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/nv3500-swap.16360/

    LMC Parts

My opinion of most of LMC's stuff is, buy it only if they are the only place that has it. If you can get it else where then you'll probably get a better part. Especially avoid anything they sell that has or is rubber. I will say the 88-94 GMT400 dash is a nice piece though. I hope they do a...

Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

Running an driving! Some other finishing touches According to their video list the final one on this truck is due out in a few days. Edit: if your doing trim on a 73-80 watch the second one. I really like how he did that!

    front end alignment

A 1/4 toe in is way too much. Ideally you want a 1/16, maybe an 1/8. Toe is a tire wearing angle so you need it to be right if you're not going for an alignment for a while.

Where to Connect On/Cranking Wire for Sniper

There should be several open terminals on the fuse box. Use a test light to verify. I recommend using that feed to trip a relay an send direct battery power so it doesnt see to much voltage loss while cranking.

What year front clip do you like best?

Gmc kept the deep grill through 76. Chevy went to the thinner one in 75.

    Firewall Cleanup : AC Install

I kept the vents open/stock with my VA install. The Dr side one obviously still works just fine, the pass side when you open it the air comes in, hits the VA box an then comes right out into your face. It's basically unusable unless you want to wear goggles. That said I'll be giving up my pass...

    Bye Bye Optima

I have an optima in my C10, been in there since 07! It's definitely one from before the buyout/move. I can't really complain about it but anyone I've known with one since about 2010-2012 hasn't gotten anywhere near the life out of one like I have. I haven't done anything special with it to keep...

    '88 TBI Build

I dont try to convince anyone. We all know you had a bad experience with it. Mine works great and so do the roughly 12 or more other ones I've installed or fixed the bad install on. I just do the same thing you do, which is tell my experiences with them. Just like anything manufactured in life...

    Aftermarket efi 2bbl of 4bbl?

Stay as far away from anything made by fitech as you possibly can. Just when you think your far enough away, take 7 more steps back. Holley has some smaller systems as well if you don't want the standard 4150 style.

    Holley sniper install questions

If you have a 73-86 truck it's alot more expensive than than a roll of wire. You need 2 tanks, 2 sending units, 2 pumps, the 87 valve, switch an full wiring, etc. Glad you've had good luck with it. Of the trucks I've been involved with the valves fail within a month, we tried deleting them an...
