They sat on $1766 of mine for 9 months before I cancelled it. Probably talked to Randy on the phone 3-4x and exchanged 5+ emails. Always a new promise and story but never any product. I used a cc to give myself a longer window than pp to refund it in case something went sideways. No idea whats...

    Wiper Control Module

I'll find out the details. Usually they will push for a 50pc order. Like has happened before....to reverse engineer is might be $1000+. To make new ones might be $5-10ea. Going to get my working (85) one out of storage - would like to procure an older version too.

    Wiper Control Module

Just for shts and giggles....should I find out how much it would cost to make a run of NEW boards? I dont recall offhand but iirc, the box comes apart and the board could be removed and replaced? Whats a price point that makes it worth a new board? $50? I have zero idea.

Thoughts on going down to 37s?

Squares is just one thing there is an endless knowledge of here. Overall the place reminds me of an online lodge. lol FWIW.....I most always figure out the size tire I want, then around early Fall to now, start watching feebay for closeouts. Most every tire out there is off shored and they...

I think it will look and handle better. 35's are about the sweet spot IMO.

    rust bullet versus por-15

My buddy uses Rust Bullet on his Dodges (cars that come from the factory with advanced rust). He likes it fine. I use POR primarily as a primer. Never thought much of it as a top coat.

    Well, Here We Go!!

Nice carb. When you're done you can bronze it and set it next to your baby shoes. lmao

    Wiper Control Module

There used to be a place I dealt with that would do reverse-engineering on any electronics board (particularly FANUC control boards), then mass produce a replacement if you wanted. Like everything else, the up-front part was a few $$$......the production was fairly cheap. We used them to...

Changing front rubber brake lines. Where’s the inner clip?

I used to detail cars in HS and that was the mix an old timer told me to use. Kerosene would break down any crud but the Dawn (iirc I used Palmolive) kept it gentle enough so as not to strip or damage paint (like purple clean does). It always worked as advertised.

Changing front rubber brake lines. Where’s the inner clip?

I used to mix Dawn and K1. Softened and took any of that gunk off.

    Headers/fastners

GM actually made one (iirc for a transmission bracket) in 3/8-16 / M8 but the nut is welded in place making it worthless. If I still worked in a shop, I'd be tempted to make my own set out of stainless.

    Headers/fastners

I have always preferred studs. Just wish I could find the same (8mm) copper lock nuts they use on 4-N cars (BMW's creation) in an SAE thread for these.

    Speaking of dash pads......

I like their seats - alot. Needs headrests though IMO. That dash is interesting...but if you're going to demand that kind of coin, it better be more interesting than a Herman Munster prosthetic added to the top. The way that insert fits in the upper right corner (on the passenger side) is...

    Speaking of dash pads......

FWIW.....the company that makes these is TMI. They also make door panels ($1400-1800/pr), the dash ($1400-1600ea) and then a leather bench seat with fold down armrest/cupholder for the low low price of $4800. And if you have any money left, IIRC there's a standard headliner for about $600 too...

I love their stuff but they burned the proverbial bridge with me long ago. I get anxiety at just the thought of ordering from them again.

Wiring harness advice pertaining to bulkhead and smoothing firewall

I've never seen another brand with the large bulkhead connector like GM had. Most others I've messed with would go to weather proof underhood relay boxes and then into the dash on both sides via the fenders/A-pillars with fuse panels on the firewall under the dash. I had planned to use the...

What new tools have you got lately?

Look up Derale 15300. Its a 16 row trans cooler that has more links to air compressors than transmissions. lol There are a bazilion videos on YT showing it and the results. Most say 90-95% of the water is removed. A couple use a digital thermal reader - air coming out of the pump and going into...

    Auxiliary trans oil cooler

Not sure why you'd want to. Aftermarket coolers are pretty cheap and very efficient.

    Speaking of dash pads......

Seen these before here and there on resto-mods. Apparently some place in Covina (?) CA makes them. No idea how much but I imagine they're pretty proud of them. I have mixed feelings about it - kind of cool but I think to re-orientate the vents vertically might look better with the higher dash...
