Does a seal exist for my factory 1977 c10 sliding window

I think I see a flat lip on the backside. That style (where there's a flat lip that goes in the gasket and then the glass is in a frame that protrudes out a bit) typically uses the same seal as a solid back glass. Hard to say from those pics, do you have any with it on the truck? With trim...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yep, I always fully expect to have to put a battery in something of mine or at work during the first cold snap of the year. If not, great but I always expect it/plan for it. A battery can have a dying cell or be getting weak and be perfectly fine all summer but the first bit of sub-50s temps...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yep. I'd take the battery out and get it load tested before going any further. That's most likely the culprit

What have you done to your square lately??

How old is your battery? I have had more than one just randomly die at the first cold snap of the year

What have you done to your square lately??

Huh. That's very interesting! I just assumed (you know what that does) that all the trucks were the same. I believe I ordered a pump for either an '05 or '06 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3 since that would be roughly the same generation. I'll have to go look at my '05s pump to see what it has

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah, the brackets look identical till you look at where the pump bolts up. I thought they were the same too, I even bought a truck pump to bolt on when I originally had fitment issues with the Envoy reservoir. But when I found out the bolt pattern was different, I just massaged the top rail...

Best header back exhaust package for a 1985 K10 short bed

I did know there's a couple decent kits online from talking to you and a couple other guys, but I've never known anyone "in real life" that's had good luck with any of them. But none of them were the Hooker

What have you done to your square lately??

Can you use a small block PS pump on an LS bracket? I don't think you can. But that's what the motor came with, it's out of an '06 Envoy Denali. Was originally gonna use an LS truck pump but found out the whole alt/PS bracket is different, the bolt pattern is different for the pumps. I think I...

What have you done to your square lately??

I actually had RemFlex's on there this last time and straight up had blown them out, like a chunk was missing. The flanges on these things may be warped at this point, I'll check them for flatness and maybe replace them when the motor comes out in the off season. I never had a problem when I...

What have you done to your square lately??

Drove it home Wednesday to start packing for Fall Revival and torqued the header nuts one more time now that they'd had a couple heat cycles. Just when I was cleaning up I realized that my Envoy PS pump/reservoir (plastic!) was sitting on the frame rail thanks to that collapsed mount o_O It...

What have you done to your square lately??

So last week, I needed to put new headers gaskets on (Again. I think it's cuz my whole exhaust is solid with no flex pipe, gonna make sure there's one in there next go 'round) and noticed I had a failing motor mount. It's probably been happening for a little while now and my AutoX runs a couple...

Best header back exhaust package for a 1985 K10 short bed

Just curious, do you not have an exhaust shop close by? The few people that I personally know that have tried exhaust "kits" for these trucks were less than impressed. I've always just gone to a muffler shop and had it done

Why doesn't anyone use the Chevy "Connect & Cruise" packages?

Personally, I think I did pretty damn good averaging the 3 with my truck

Why doesn't anyone use the Chevy "Connect & Cruise" packages?

Cost is exactly why, most of us don't have that chunk of change to put down all at once. Not to mention I'd say most of us want something different than those packages offer, be it camshaft/boost/etc. Plus for me, it's way more fun to research and build the package exactly the way I like it...

    Show your daily driver

Was talking to my buddies about this the other day, I think all mid-90s to late-2000s cars/trucks/everything are just going to continue to go up in demand for exactly that reason. More and more people are getting fed up with newer cars, if they're at all mechanically inclined, I know lots of...
