    Look mom, no cats!

    Beautiful truck!

    Check out my rear end

Before you go rebuilding the posi, if it still does it after the 'shaft gets rebalanced, pull the shaft out and rotate it 180* and try again.

    Column Gear Shift Detent

Yep, I could. I manipulated the lever all sorts of ways doing various things in the cab and never once felt detents

Quickchange Rear Ends for Square Bodies

Man I'd love to do a QC in my truck when the time comes but cost is typically a prohibitor here. Winters is the only QC I've ever seen/know people that run them

So how much land do you have there? That's always been a dream of mine, have enough land I can't see anyone around me and get to do anything I want

    Hej From a newbie :)

    Welcome! Very nice 'burb!

    Column Gear Shift Detent

I did too. When I swapped my T350 for a 4L60, my indicator obviously didn't line up but I could feel all the detents for PRND321. When the drivetrain was out with nothing hooked to the shift rod, my shifter just flopped around on the column, I don't think there are any detents in my '85 column

What have you done to your square lately??

Dude you stole that grille! Looks like it's got a couple broken slats but if repaired and fully restored, I've seen those go for $500-$1500

    Drip Rail

Door skins? They go on the cab...

To remove or not to paint frame?

They're not bolts, they're rivets and they're a PITA to remove. Depends on how far you're going with the build. Cool little cruiser/driver or super nice show truck?

1970s Rally wheel center cap insert decal

I doubt anyone could do metal but for decals, Phil Cann is who I use. He's a C10 guy and does tons of decal work for alot of us in the scene. I'll PM you his email

    Drip Rail

Also roughly holding up the cab trim corners in the same spot on 2 different trucks. I posted all this just to give you plenty of visuals, the actual measurement doesn't really matter as long as the drip rails look right and are lined up to follow the door with an even gap

    Drip Rail

Don't sweat that measurement, these trucks vary WILDY. I just measured a few of the ones we have here at work, that measurement ranges from 24 3/8" all the way to 24 7/8". Just pick a spot above the door where the contours match/it looks good and attach it I was referencing the body lines...

Looks great! Also jealous of the scenery you get to see every day

What have you done to your square lately??

Do you know for sure that it's the rad? If not, you need to find the source of the leak first

Intermittent Squealing at startup and acceleration

I would start by checking belts. You likely have one that's loosened up a tad

1985 Long Bed Floor and Bedsides

Yeah and alot of the squarebody panels were junk for a long time, what we refer to as "crash parts". We reverse engineered off good original panels when we made ours, they're the same gauge thickness as OE and have all the same contours/cutouts/radii/etc. We put alot of time and effort into all...

    Chipping Paint

And obviously paint under the gasket
  19. TotalyHucked

This one needs to go, asking for opinions. Offering it up here first.

Like others have said, it's hard to to put a hard set price on it, especially since different areas have vastly different price scales. I'm in north Ga though, so I'm not too far away. A nice body and frame are big pluses, right there you've got 5k IMO. The huge lift is a draw for some but I'd...

    Chipping Paint

I would use a gasket, something like a rubber sheet and just cut my own gaskets. Maybe 1/8" thick or so

    Show your daily driver

Started working on bringing the paint around on this old girl as well as getting rid of the pinstripe

    Ignition Switch (Tilt Column)

My truck's the same way, I don't think it's the original cuz the key's not really worn enough for that. I just look at it as anti-theft lol. I just drop the wheel and it starts fine

FRONT FENDER COWL CAGE NUT Gone

Fuuuuu. I'm not cutting my truck open until it's ready for paint, so it'll just live like it is for a while lol

FRONT FENDER COWL CAGE NUT Gone

Yeah, the one in the A-pillar. I think mine stripped but is still there. I need to go look at our A-pillar assembly on the shelf and see how it's attached. Not sure if it's a cage nut or what but the bolt would still spin, just not tighten up. I was able to get it out by prying underneath it

    What year tailgate is this??

I know the style line on the front edge was '79/80, the inside hood release came in '77, I wanna say it was 76? Maybe '75? when they added the little reliefs/indentions for crumple zone safety
