    Fixing large door/cab gap.

Haha it's amazing what you'll find in an unscrewed with truck. That's awesome y'all have had it since new. Wish my dad had kept something of his...

What have you done to your square lately??

The '83/84 band is much narrower than the '85-88. They won't interchange

    2.5" or 4" Lift 1986 K10

Man that thing looks great the way it is. The bad thing with these trucks and wanting to "stuff" tires or filling up the wheel wells is they're gonna take out the fenders. Unless you get some super narrow wheels to tuck them inside, you're either going to have to keep that tire to fender ratio...

    Fixing large door/cab gap.

Yeah, just like most everything on these trucks, they just dialed them in a little better and built them a little nicer on the later ones

    Fixing large door/cab gap.

That's the face I made the first time I realized how big the gap was

    Fixing large door/cab gap.

Yep, that A-pillar gap was never great but some trucks are definitely worse than others. My '85 isn't too bad at all but our '76 shop truck, I can stick my thumb in sideways

    Front bumper opinion on position

    Very cool story!

    Fixing large door/cab gap.

^Agreed with Lego, easier welding access and it'll be much easier to fit the new door to the unaltered cab than if the cab were modded. These cabs are different enough already and that causes plenty of headaches, don't wanna make it worse

What have you done to your square lately??

Agreed. I like them all (well, 99% anyway) and I'm certainly not gonna put down someone else's ride.

    Power steering too slow?

That may work, if the ECU has the capability. I have zero experience with TBI so idk

    Power steering too slow?

Not that I'm aware of. I've had many of the NBS (99-07 classic) trucks and they do the same thing. Especially with bigger tires, sometimes you have to give it some gas and get it rolling before trying to turn the wheels. No offense meant by this statement, but I think you're just overthinking...

Protecting bare rusted metal prior to paint job

What's your timeline for getting it painted? I'd honestly just leave it alone most likely

I have a couple buddies that swear by the "Stage 8" brand locking header bolts

What have you done to your square lately??

I've always wondered how it's "supposed" to be pronounced, now I know lol
  16. TotalyHucked

    Power steering too slow?

Totally normal. If you think about it, there's alot more friction/resistance the slower you go. So it makes sense the wheel is a little slower at slower speeds. It's just like manual steering, it's super hard and slow at parking lot speeds but at normal driving speeds, it's much easier and...

    Power steering too slow?

Larger diameter pulley would slow the pump down, a smaller pulley would speed it up
  18. TotalyHucked

    Power steering too slow?

That's the box itself, not the pump. These steering boxes are like 20:1 or something slow, for ease of maneuvering. If you'd like to be able to steer faster, you'll need a faster box. The Borgeson 12.7:1 is a common upgrade, at least for 2wd trucks

    Hello from Georgia, 77' K10 4x4

Glad y'all enjoyed it! We do 3-4 shows a year up here. Another one you ought to look into is C10 Fall Revival in Denton, NC, just outside of Charlotte. They hold it at Denton Farmpark, it's such a cool venue and the whole show is a great vibe. I think we had like 500 trucks show up last year...

    Show your daily driver

My buddy's got one of those he got from his mom. She bought it new in '05 but has had a company car since about '06 so it's only got like 35-40k miles on it

    2 Tone on 83 C30

It can be done. Not exactly sure how he did it, I never got to talk to him but it might be as simple as deleting the marker light

    Hello from Georgia, 77' K10 4x4

Unfortunately I wasn't here for the show Saturday, had some family stuff going on. But 3 different coworkers have come to me today going "man, you missed a beautiful stepside on Saturday!" and showed me pictures of your truck! Thought you'd appreciate that lol

    LED conversion

What do you have for tail lights? For my '85, I have LED's everywhere including the tail lights. I had to wire in 50ohm resistors for each tail light and each marker light in the grille. So I have four 50ohm resisters in my truck. The LED flasher did nothing.
