not really much of an update but damn near time to burn em in. the weather got bad and cold here for a bit, then everyone got sick, mostly my kids, finally getting better weather again. I hope to burn em in asap hopefully within a week or so.- Swims350

not that it helps but there's a 3rd t-top as well the c &c or cars and concepts t-top those are like the 80's monte carlo ss's where they go all the way across and appear to touch glass to glass with only like an inch and half strip down the middle. Floorboard paint
I've been looking into this alot for my trans am floors, some of it's new metal, over half, some old some with rust. I wanted to use something like por15 or chassis saver which just goes right over the rust and you have to sand with 80 or so to get it stuck to good paint or bare smooth metal...- Swims350

what's th eprice on it? As others said down south you can buy em running all day for cheap sometimes, and up north forget it a rust bucket see thru floor car goes for 2-3 or at least they ask that much LOL. I sold my 79 to bucket and I have a 79 trans am now was supposed to be in good shape...- Swims350

lil more, got everything fit and screwed in place. Now I took it all back off, going to do the final trim on the pans, flange, holes for spot welds, weld thru primer, smooth edges, and chassis saver inside the frame rails and crossmembers. was going good until I broke my last 1/8 bit. I gotta go pick some up tomorrow. I know they are self tapping metal screws, but they take forever trying to drill the thicker gauge frame rails.- Swims350

I used a cupped style like that on my big 8 inch sander/polisher to do my frame, looks like it might flake off sometime soon then lol. I used grease and wax remover from the local body shop supply.- Swims350

I've used the rusto rusty metal primer and oil based gloss black, and used the black alot, but I never kept anything I used it on long enough to see how well or how long it stayed. That could be a possibility on using some self etch then epoxy and or sealer. I like the epoxy and its a DTM...- Swims350

I used por15 on the vette floors over some older paint and rust, and my subframe nothing more then a good wire brushing and wiped clean, no tusing their other stuff. I already bought the parts for both the 350 and the 403, the rings, bearings, timing set, etc. I just need a cam and lifter set for either. yea we sure did, got it for parts, was a 78 2wd straight 6 auto and it had a wooden bed with side tool boxes made in it, and it was broke at the box, couldn't even tow it very easy with a tow bar lol- Swims350

got my torque box in the other day the seat belt bolt is in the wrong location compared to mine and must be an older car thing according to google, other f body forums and youtube. No big deal.
