    Goliath 6x6

Well, I do like 6x6's. Also, I modified a couple of them into 4x4's. Maybe I'm prejudiced though.

It had the "granny gear" floor mounted manual transmission. The 180k was kilometers, not miles! I was across the border for the funeral of a friend. Super clean truck inside out.

My 1988 V-30 2 door regular cab square body pickup is rare. The square body pickup in 1988 could only be bought as a 4x4 dually. Dealer installed cap was a give-away for new truck purchase.

    427 Tall Deck

Having replaced a 6.2 with a tall deck, I would not do it again. I would get a standard deck big block instead. Even using a modern tall deck performance intake is not simple as they are manufactured for after market heads involved. I had to have my new tall deck Dart intake machined right out...

    Frame swap question

The military M1009 Blazers of the middle 80's came factory equipped with the 6.2 followed by a T400 and 3.08 gears. Stock tires were 31/10.50-15's. Milne was upgraded in civilian life to a 700R4 and works great! My M1008 5/4 ton had 4.56's and the 6.2 was screaming at 60 mph with 255/85-16's.

Post Pictures of Your Front bumper

The grille guard used the 4 bumper bolts and one more bolt each side, total six. where the iron wrapped under the bumper through the frame horns. Very strong setup. Also bolt wholes in the under wrap for mounting tow hooks. There was an optional brush guard feature that could have been fitted to it.

NP203 Differences Early vs Late Design

Some already beat me to it, I think the one sent is non GM application. I will try to dig out my extra speedo gear shafts as I think I have several tooth counts. There were several changes beginning with the second year. The first year units had the oil drive gear as a machined part of the rear...

    K30 transfer case questions

Not true. My 1988 V30 2 dr regular cab dually pickup had a 205 from factory with one piece driveshaft. The Military M1008's had the 208 transfer case. The maintenance version CUCV 1031's usually had the 205's. Some M1028's also but not all of them.
