Turns out the box (which is NOT stamped with the metric part number) has the metric seat, but the PS pump and Hydroboost have SAE. The old SAE lines actually seated...

    Are headers worth it?

    I use to run headers on everything I owned, but I am not sure it was helping that much. I am able to get the head flanges to always seal by retightening the bolts frequently during the initial run in, the gaskets compress and will burn thru if u don't. Sometimes u have to use two collector...

    Source for oil cooler hoses?

    Yeah I will post a pic later when I get out to the garage. The setup is hard lines from the oil filter to in front of the engine mounts, then flex lines to another set of short bent hard lines into the cooler. I'd love to find the GM part numbers and score them on Ebay, but I'm not hopeful...

    Lookking for replacements on my '79 C30 oil cooler flex hoses, but no luck. They look to be 1/2 ID, but with a weird compression fitting that clamps to the steel hard lines at either end. It's not the normal crimp sleeve to hard line, that's there but with an additional hex nut. I could just...
