On this day, a couple of fails (car alarm, door locks, and horn installation)

Thank you so much for this input; I managed to splice further down but I'll take this advice to clear up the spaghetti farther away from the fuse box.

On this day, a couple of fails (car alarm, door locks, and horn installation)

Here I come again with questions and a story: My truck (BIG10 87) has never had power-anything. I was installing an alarm kit that came with door poppers, and surprise surprise, not only do these doors don't have the holes necessary for the cables (gonna redneck it and wire it as discreetly as...

Welcome! She's gorgeous, and the rusty patina adds character (can't believe people pay for that look but to each their own); the color scheme inside is amazing and gave me an idea to apply on mine later on. What a find!

Thank you, back then there were a lot of manufacturers for fiberglass tops, and at least here it was a common conversion, even for Ford or Dodge pickups. They were all made the same, single glass panes for the back sides, since they couldn't make aluminum frames and rails for sliding windows...

    What do these wires do?

Thank you so much for the how-to on the relay testing, will update when I get to it later today. Also, thank you for whatever you can find on those odd wires. As for the wiper motor, the wires (red-black) to the wiper motor go to a switch, just on/off at a single speed. The wire with the rubber...

    What do these wires do?

I was untangling the spaghetti yesterday at the engine bay and found some wires that I have no idea what they're for. The only issue I have currently is the headlights on the driver's side won't work, and the wipers have a separate switch (working on a single speed). First couple of pictures...

Oh for sure, I have a plan for her but I wouldn't know where to start thread-wise, aside from the wiring issues I found yesterday while untangling the spaghetti lol.

As far as I know, both parts were welded using a band from the outside, a band inside, and plates, so there's no flexing there. The band can be felt by hand from the outside. I'll add a few pics from inside later. LoL, the rego even says "sport wagon" as vehicle type. Edit, here are the...

Thank you so much for the kind welcoming. I just took a couple of pictures. - The rego is "black and grey" so it's painted only with primer, will repaint soon anyway. - Tires are 31x10.50. Want to put smaller ones with the same width though, not sure what exact size to look for. I like the...

Hi y'all, I'm new here and I come with a truck with a story. My half-brother's dad passed away (God rest his soul) and left him his truck. A C10, Silverado, BIG10. 292 with the TH400. My brother left the country a few years ago, and left the truck here for use and keeping. Recently, I started...
