If the trans has a drain plug, use it! If it doesn’t have a plug, now would be the ideal time to install one!!
Yep, got one. I figured I’d drop the pan and check for clutch material while I’m taking it out. I have a pan with a drain plug and used a Moroso reusable gasket.

If your going to add a plug, drill a small hole where your going to install the plug and let it drain that way. Much cleaner that way.
