Good evening, (in the voice of Alfred Hitchcock)..lol

Fresh from the postman, my new Inokraft D1.
I've seen some good reviews and figured it a step up from the $30 Hazard Fraught gun.
I'll use that one for primer.

Everything seems well machined and of good fitment. However I have not yet completely torn it down for the initial cleaning.

I will say that the website I order from was a tad shady. And here's what I mean by that. The advertised price for the unit was $70. but when I went to check out, it jumped to $90. So I contacted them via email and included screen shots. It took 3 or 4 days for a reply of which the explaination was an issue with the website and $90 was the actual price. Well buggers! So I put it off for a couple weeks or so as I half-heartedly searched for a better deal. No luck. Went back and now the same exact unit was showing $110. (#%**#@*%) Are you kidding me?!?! So I fired off another email and got a quick reply stating that the $90 was a Black Friday deal and it had expired. Who has Black Friday sales in Janurary?
Now I'm pissed. I grumbled about the house and the wife (God bless her) says, keep it up and they'll up it another $20 just to piss you off even more. So I just bit my lip and paid the $110.
I must confess, I am a tight-*** and I mean my wallet is so tight, I squeek when I walk. They say knowing it is half the battle. But that doesn't seem to make it any better. And I'm way past frugle and eccentric isn't even close either. Just tight.
So anywho, if ya find a website that is similiar to tul-uncle.com...that's the shady buggers I have nothing nice to say about, so I won't...lol

Now, I can't wait till the weather turns nice. But I was feeling that way in Decrmber.

@hey mister those dirty ba$tard$
I think the thing I dispise the most is not being able to deal with them face to face.
This kind of shananigins would get resolved real quick....and most likely with me needing a lawyer on retainer and a good bail bondsman...lol

Did you intentionally buy an LVLP spray gun. You are talking about it being a step up from your harbor freight gun, which I would believe, but check it I'm thinking your HF gun is HVLP. Wondering why you are switching?

HF actually sells a higher end paint gun and disposable cup system which I purchased and intend to use for primers. I have a lower end Devilbiss which is okay but my best one is the Matco gun which has a lot of extra parts and a lot more versatility. And most importantly, lays down the materials best. Now, I just need to learn how to shoot better which includes mixing the materials, and controlling the environment. Excellent painting is definitely a very skilled trade and hazardous to your health so be absolutely certain to use proper ppe most effectively.

Yes, I intentionally went with LPLV and from what I was seeing, that is supposed to be a better set up for metalic flake automotive.
I have no experience with it.
My only recent experience has been shooting the hood on my Taco with the Harbor Freight HVLP gun.
This new gun has 3 tips and needles whis gives way more versitility.
We shall see, come summer.

Let us know how it compares. I'm curious.

Will do.
I will do a seperate write up for the various panels that need paint...the roof and both front fender rockers.

But my practice shoots will be on my Taco. Both front fenders and pass door.

Being China's best stuff, I painted this F with a pair of Hobo Fright's guns that I paid only $10 each. Cost more for the clean-up than the gun...

One of my reasons for getting this Inokraft gun was the availability of parts and support.
I completely understand the thoughts of buying a $10 or $15 gun, use it and when it eventually fails, toss it and buy another.
I'm a bit old skool. I like to be able to learn the characteristics of a tool so I can be a better user of it.

When I was in high school, I could of bought a Badger airbrush or a Paashe airbrush. Badgers were less expensive, but they just didn't have a good following among artists. The Paashe also seemed to have more availibility of parts, but it really set me back. I had to mow a few more lawns to get it. I still have it and never regreted it. I shot so much model aircraft metal flake paint that I actually wore out a few needles and cones.
Good times!

Thank you sir. I wish that I had a paint booth, an Iwata or Sata Jet sprayer and most of all I wish I had more energy to fix all the Squares and F's in my yard! I'm thankful that I have some students that are interested in helping and have a desire to do hands on work with any automobile; especially those beloved Squares because I can't physically go like I once did. My older brothers told me that things would change when turning 50 and they were right.
All jokes aside, I literally knelt down and prayed before spraying that Firethorne Red '76 Camaro. My Devilbiss gun that I'd used before decided it needed rebuilding and I had already purchased that most expensive red hue for the car. I took a new HB gun from the box and started spraying some test panels and was satisfied that it would do the job. After about 8 hours of taping, masking and spraying I was certainly satisfied with the results. I used more red than anticipated and after my prayer I laid that fat black band down the middle of the car. I ran out of black on the last swipe... I then proceeded on the red after I had masked the black. I ran out of red on the last swipe... I'm confident the Lord met my prayer at 10PM that night giving me just what I needed, no less, no more.
Have fun with your gun and share some stories and pics with us please.
