Take the air cleaner off and look at the spray pattern when running, also kinda sounds like something a bad MAP sensor or TPS/IACV could do don't forget the basics timing, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil, check the vacuum advance diaphragm and springs in the dizzy don't leave out the ECU give the harness a wiggle test that's one thing about the early fuel injection the electrics kinda suck to work on your just going to have to test every system till you find something wrong
Good info. @JamesSam I’ll bow out now, since the TBI system is nothing I’m familiar with. The only other thing I can think of is checking fuel pressure. Sounds like @Ajax19 has a good handle on it.

I must have missed it, where did you buy those?

Foothill Offroad Products on EBay.
Item ID 203715811538.

45 bux plus shipping and tax. Matching them up they are thicker than OE and seem to have the correct angles. They may be shorter by a hair but it is hard to tell with the original still in place. It also looks like the upper extension for the axle is a bit longer but I am assuming a welder can make it work.

Made some room in my shop. Pulled the body off of the 4x4 frame. Had to see what it looked like on the 2WD frame.... So stoked.

A little bit of wiggle is normal.

Been hearing a rattling from the front of the engine compartment. Didn't make any sense to me so I got Pop involved and we found the shaft on the water pump is wobbling all over the place. I had to loosen the belts to find it. I have never seen a water pump shaft wobble that much and not leak. But I cannot see a single drop of water/coolant at all.

I pulled the fan, the shroud and the pulley this evening and bought a new water pump from O'Reilly's. But changing it will have to wait, I am too tired tonight to R&R.

Of course I used the truck today or this would not have come up...

I'd keep a close eye on those every now and again, for any cracking. Those welds look a little cold to me.

Well, if the welds crack, hopefully the new mount won't. It almost twice as thick as the OE.
