You can tell by the overspray on the eyelets of the leaf springs and the large area missed on the axle tube of the rear end that it's aftermarket paint/undercoat. Doesn't take away that it's a nice truck but would definitely wanna see it in person, like you said, to ensure that it's not trying to cover up an issue(s).

I only looked at a couple of the pictures, but it looks to me like the undercoat was applied with the intent to only cover the sheetmetal. What I glanced at looks to be an original frame coating, with frame rivets still in bare steel. The rear axle and springs look like untouched original to me. The bare spot on the axle probably didn't used to be there.

Have you ever thought that maybe he wanted a better ride, or to be able to haul motocross bikes or 4'x8' sheets with the tail gate shut?
Or possibly wanted a truck to actually be used for work.

Well shiver me timbers !!! Purchasing a Squarebody for a nice ride is a strange new concept but I'll go with it ! Not to mention the economical value of the 4 slices of sheetrock you can haul in a C10 with the gate closed ! With the "original" 1600 miles and Home Cheapo being an average of 10 miles away he may have gotten his house sheetrocked if it was small ! $hit my K10 mini bed with 4" Skyjacker springs on all 4 corners and their best shocks rides like a "Cadilac" love that old school saying lmao... And "work" a Squarebody !!! Bite your tongue there fella, work and salt ruined 90% of them that's why they are now holy grail status ! My request would be for a wide body shortbed so I could fit my Scrambler in the back ! But sadly as my girlfriend loves to remind me it's not the 80's anymore kid you're not the steroid medicated gym rat Douche bag you once were, well maybe the second part, but at least you have your K10 so be happy... Haha sorry for the Douchism but not really :happy160:

I'm not really sure what your point is here?

Lots of people bought a long bed 2wd for the benefit of driver comfort and more space in the bed. That's just how it is.

Also, most squarebody trucks were worked before they rusted out. I'm not sure what road salt has to do with anything.
