I have a gear vender in my Olds, if I was looking for overdrive today I’d go 4L80 without hesitation.

I bought the gear vender used about 15 years ago. At that time, the 4L80 stuff was much more expensive.

Compare prices, you could do a 4L80 conversion much cheaper and have thr added bonus of the ability to program exact shift points, and lockup converter
