Hello everyone, first post, but I did use the search function first.

I have an 86 c10 LWB "heavy half ton". Rear springs are a 6 leaf pack(5+overload). I want to do a 4/6 drop with a flip kit and pulling a leaf. The truck rides a lot rougher than I'd like when it's empty, so I'd like to get that extra inch from a leaf rather than shackles.

Does anyone know which specific leaf will achieve +/- 1". I'm more familiar with the S10 chassis and a lot of people can tell you which spring does what or which combo can change spring rate but not ride height

You can’t lower it more by pulling leafs if you do a flip kit. Because you can’t remove the top leaf.
But you can soften it up by removing leafs off the bottom with the axle flip. Start w 1 (and the overload…or not if it’s not engaged and you want to keep some overload capacity). If that’s not enough, remove 2.
