I have a '77 K10 Heavy Half. The tires my pops put on are pretty small. They are about 10 years old now so I'm getting ready to replace them and wanted to get advice on how big I can/should go with stock suspension. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I can get away with 33's on stock suspension with 0 rubbing? And what width is suggested?

Keep in mind larger tires, wider tires, heavier tires, more aggressive treads all affect mpg. Just don't want posts next, your mpg has mysteriously gone down.

Lol.. from 8mpg to 7.5? I rarely drive it anymore but have always been put off by the smallish tires my dad had on it when I got it from him. I actually have no idea what the gas mileage is but at full throttle I can watch the needle go down. Not worried about that. Just want to know what the biggest tires I can fit are on stock suspension. I'd like a taller wider tire if possible.

@Kasey 1977 K10 , what size are the tires on the truck now? You have aftermarket rims and the offset and back spacing may affect what you can do.

I have 33x12.50 on my '87 but I also have a 2 inch lift. Your truck actually looks like it sits close to the same height as mine.

This is my '87 with a 2 inch lift and 33x12.50s

Those wheels look like a 16" wheel, not the standard 15" that would be on it from the factory. If that's the case you could probably run a 285/75R16. Those are only 32.8" tall and about 10.5" wide. If you have an 8" wide wheel or less it shouldn't rub.
