Currently I'm trying to figure out what my plan for Blue here is.

I know she needs pretty much the entire fuel system and ignition system replaced, as well as finding out where the short is that caused her to catch fire several years ago. Fortunately, it was extinguished within a minute or two, but I've got a few wires to redo. Oh, and she really needs tires. Badly.

Part of me wants to do an LS swap, but the other part of me just wants to get her running and driving again, for now.

Does anyone know what all it takes to go from the 1" thick front rotors to the 1.25" thick front rotors, as well as from the 2" wide rear shoes to the 2.75" wide rear shoes?

The son of the original owner of Blue here was the manager of the order department at James Wood's Decatur location. But from what I remember my Grandpa saying, his friend wasn't picky other than "1/2 ton, 2wd, short bed, and blue". He basically let his son spec out every other option on the truck. So of course his son got power everything, and one of the "dealer special" paint jobs that were really popular back in the day. Still has the sticker in the glove box from when the stripe job was painted on. Too bad the paint codes are no longer readable.

Yeah.... That's the topper of my Grandpa's Ranger that got wrecked back in 2012. Haven't disposed of it yet. That's one of the things that'll go as soon as she's moved from my Grandma's house to mine. This girl has been sitting untouched since about '10 or '11. I'll be excited to get the patina gone and good paint back on her in the next couple of years, hopefully.

Changing your front spindles from 1 inch to 1.25. Rotors also. As far as the rear I think it's just shoes and drums.

Are the spindles different between the two rotors? Or is it just the rotors and bearings?

Spindles have to be longer 1.25, to be able to hold the 1.25 rotors. IIRC the bearings and seals have to be up graded also. Basically everything in between the upper and lower A arms have to match.
