Crossfire cap

Good Morning everyone. Hope you're having a good weekend, and if you're on the east coast and are in the hard hit areas, hope you're all ok. I have a question about those crossfire distributor caps. I saw them on the Performance Distributor website, and was wondering if anyone uses those on your square? I hate having my wires going over each other and looking like spaghetti. They are pricey at $145, but if they work and last, I would consider getting one. I have a stock 350/TH400 combo in my 84 Sierra base model. Let me know your thoughts, and or experiences. Thanks

I've never used one, but I'd assume they are a bit more finicky about moisture intrusion, corrosion, carbon tracking and wear. Much like the '96-up vortec distributor caps.

I've never used one, but I'd assume they are a bit more finicky about moisture intrusion, corrosion, carbon tracking and wear. Much like the '96-up vortec distributor caps.
That's why I use the vented cap with brass contacts and the matching rotor, on my Vortecs.

That's why I use the vented cap with brass contacts and the matching rotor, on my Vortecs.

As do I. But you can have some pretty hot garbage run fine on the standard type HEI distributors. Stuff that you could never get away with on a vortec engine.

This also shows you how a good set wires help you. After losing half the spark potential, the wires hold the rest and get it to the spark plug.
