I have 1989 dodge w100 with the np241 t case,seeing how the dodge forums suck,i thought i would ask this here.does the chain turn when in 2 hi?thanks

No the chain/front output should not spin in 2 hi.

If there is no front driveshaft/unlocked hubs/cad axle unlocked it could potentially spin, but only due to parasitic drag and such. No torque being transferred. If that makes sense.

It does,my reason for asking is,im wondering if i can drive the truck in that condition until i can repair or replace the case

Might put it up on a lift and see if it is the T-case actually spinning the shaft or drag in the front hubs spinning the shaft, as mentioned above.
