Trying to install dakota digital guages in my truck and would like to hook up the 4x4 light. The light on the stock cluster goes to pin 14. It's empty. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's a ground signal from the shifter switch. I want to say it's a tan wire. If you don't have it in the plug, bits been removed for some reason. Easy to trace from the shifter assembly.

Ok, I got ya. It's been a few years since I did mine. So to verify, the pnk/blk and white wire your holding it the 4X indicator bulb in the gauge panel?

Yes. It has its own harness.

Yup, the white wire from transfer case provides a ground signal when in 4x4, so long as the black wire from the transfer case is grounded.

You can test with a multi meter to be sure.

In mine I abandoned the pink wire, it was a constant hot jumper from the fuse panel to the indicator lamp in the factory dash. It just plugged into an open space on the fuse block.
