Vintage air system. Driving and cold air quit, then later came back and now won’t come back on.
Hooked gauges up 100 low side and 120 on high, 90 degrees outside. But since compressor won’t come on and it was at idle I expected to not see true pressures.
Checked the blue wire coming from the trinary switch going to the compressor and it has 12v.
I check the compressor case for continuity to the grounding cable on the alternator and it seems the compressor is grounded well.
What else would cause the compressor to not run if it has 12v to the positive wire?
I am assuming it’s not a controls or switch thing as it’s reading 12v.
