Intake Manifold surface

Hey All,
Had leak at intake manifold. Am replacing with new Performer intake. Have some pitting on heads, and uneven surface. See pics - driver's side and passenger side.
I've read advice about pitting to use grey rtv, and/or copper spray, and/or JB weld, appropriately.
I'm not sure about the surface being uneven, though. It's raised where the old gasket sat, and you can see where it was getting under, at least on one side.
I don't want to put the manifold on if the copper spray and rtv might not last, or work well enough. Not sure if the pitting is severe enough to worry about JB weld, but don't want to try my luck at putting in on to even out the surface, cuz as a first timer I wouldn't do it well enough.
Need some experienced eyes, my guys! What do you think? Should I bite the bullet and get the heads resurfaced?
I gotta get my son to school and back with this daily driver, and can't borrow my dad's rig for much longer.
I wanna rebuild the whole thing, but haven't done it before and don't have the cash right now to pay someone else for the whole job.
Anything else I ought to be considering on this job would be most appreciated if it's pointed out!

Ultra grey is permatex version of GM GMS gasketless sealer meant to be a permanent seal in lieu of a gasket. GM went gasketless on a lot of stuff early 80s. That being said I'd get everything as clean,scraped and level as I could get it,smear a thin coat of GMS on the pitted ports put a bead the size of toothpaste on the front and rear of the block,set the intake down with gaskets go just finger tight wait an hour come back and tighten it all down. You won't have a problem.

Which intake gasket are you using? Hopefully not steel core. The matching Edelbrock gasket would be good.
I would run a clean-out tap in all bolt holes and don't forget some ARP (or equivalent) thread sealer on intake bolts.

Thanks! These are the answers I was hoping for. I did get the matching Edelbrock gaskets. Plan to finish the whole Edelbrock tbi package, eventually.
I've got the blue permatex thread sealer for the bolts. Still returnable if y'all recommend something better.
