Ok. If anyone can spare some time, I would like to build a parts list of everything I need to order. Probably from LMC...

1st pic below is what my front end looks like now.
It came like this; I don't like the grille or the Head Lights they used; I want a closer to OEM style. JMHO, I think the Blue trucks Grille looks much better like that.

2nd pic is pretty much what I want it too to look like, Grill/lights wise.

That said,
If I post a list of parts off LMC that I think I need to put my hooptie back to this style, let me know if I am missing any parts. If so, part # and how many needed please?

Part # Item Desc QTY Price Ea
38-3968 Grille-Chrome/Gray-Standard 1 $69.95
36-4544 Bezel Set-All Chrome Dual 1 $59.95
30-0476 Screw-Silver 4 $.85
30-0815 Anchor Nut 8 $1.25 (Why 8 Nuts, vs 4 Screws? I dunno.)

I know I need 4 Headlights, but not sure which I need... I seen a few sizes that were pretty close to one another.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The grill on your list does not have the bowtie. go for the premium grill it's better quality and you can add the chevy bowtie. (If you want it)
The catalog pics show that you need 8 screws and u nuts for the grill and 8 anchor nuts for the bezels and 4 black and 4 silver screws.

The 150mm dual headlights are for 88-91 trucks
165mm 82-87 dual headlights are here:

Buy at least on additional piece of all hardware as spare. You don't want to be on hold for cause one piece just disappeared. Ask me how I know :)

If you are not sure about the parts you need call LMC. I hope that helps.

^^^^^ This is correct.Get the premium grille . It is a GM licensed grille, and you will want the bow tie. I'm very happy with my LMC grille.

Guys thanks a lot of getting me going...
Shorty_81, Thanks, I like to hear that, about you being happy with your grille.

Ali_C20, yea oversight on my part, at 1st I thought, eh, I don't want the Chevy logo, but after looking at it and thinking about it again, I do.
So I change the grille and added the Chevy Emblem and the Emblem Nuts.

Also, I delved into all the Headlight crap needed. Wow, what turned out to be a simple "just a few parts" list certainly grew.

I also took your word and added 2 or so extra on the small screws and such...
I'd hate to be 90% together and drop a screw in my gravel drive and have to put it off another few days...

With that, here is list 2.0 and what I hope is now a completed list to replace the front Grill/Headlights...

I agree with your grill swap. I have basically the same style and I’m back and forth on OEM. I’m always pondering “when” I’m gonna do it.
I will say tho- I wanted LED headlights BUT HATE what I see UNTIL… I found the OEM LED lights from a fella in Fla. I can dig up the information if you like, I’m telling ya, they look original until you turn em on! Little pricy- but well spent $ in style and performance!

I’d like to hear about the LED Headlights as well. I’ve got a set of Grote LED lights on my wish list but they are quite pricey.

you already have the headlights and adjusters. No need to re-purchase them unless I’m missing something. Your truck just has a phantom grille in place of the OE grille and headlight bezels.

I'll have to look closer at it, the headlights that are in mine are some goofy LED lights where there are like 12 different LEDs in each and some of them are burnt out. And they kind look like the guy that had it before attached them to the back panel (whatever its called) with wood screws or something stupid.
I just want to go back to factory style lights or close...

I looked at the wiring (somewhat) and I know there are tails that come off each light are about 12" long and I guess plug into the factory harness' sockets...

I honestly, don't know what I'm doing and between two jobs + on call, I don't have a ton of time to work on it, so I'll run out there, look at a few things then go to work or do whatever comes up...

I'll look at that though, thanks for the idea, IF I can save 30-60 bucks, thats 30-60 that can go towards other stuff thing POS needs... :)

Ok, ya couldn’t tell that from the pic. Those phantom grilles typically go right over the Oe headlights and OE headlight buckets (the adjustable part).
If you need the hard parts behind the headlights, may start lookin for someone parting out trucks or junkyard. As a more economical option. Those pieces would generally be untouched.

You have it easy. At least you can get a grill for your truck. The 83 and 84 grilles are non existent and no one re pops them. My 84 grill is held on with silver tape, and 2 of the original screws.

Yea, if its no hassle, Bronze Knight and myself would like to check them out.
Might not go with right away, but I'll add them to my spreadsheet and options.
