What gauge is the wire going to the starter solenoid? 84 Sierra 350/TH400. I need to fix mine so want to get the right stuff. Thanks

Several wires going to starter solenoid.

Except for the 2 going to the main terminal where the battery cable goes. Sorry I forgot to put that here

Should probably be 5 , probably4 on the large terminal and a small one by itself if it's the smallest one that you are talking about I'd use 16 gauge.

Okay I don't have configurations memorized but if you are just repairing the small lead use 16 gauge.

The wire I'm referring to is on the opposite side of this small terminal against the block. Sorry I didn't clarify what I was looking for

first number is wires size- it's in mm

don't forget about the fusible links- THERMO HW on the red wires if those are what you were asking about. (diagram shows fusible link size - & wire sizes)

He just needs a piece of 16 gauge he's not messing with the fusible link. I already decoded that out of the first 4 posts. Looked at @Jgonick illustration he put up factory was 12 gauge. 16 would work but who are we to question the GM engineers,they built the truck.
