My granddaughter Charlotte (Charlie, 15 yrs old) is a horse lover, so she wanted a truck, and she liked this old Ford. My deal was she had to buy it with her own money, I charged her 1000.00. I wanted her to be able to say, "I bought my first vehicle, (truck.) As an old school dude, don't believe in giving it away, as then it has no value....So she gave me 1000.00, and I gave that to her dad to buy tires and parts for the truck. Works for me. A few photos: Nick my son-in-law is such a good dad, and a great teacher, (Teaches at Perry INST Electrical.) I know where the carb is, sure hope I can get it back from the lady that has it. I will post more photos as the work progresses....

I'm really not a ferd guy whatsoever. Owned 4 of my own. Anyways I think it's great! It's the one I would want. My Grandpa had a 68 f-250 camper special 2wd when i was growing up and I loved that thing lol, lots of good times. I'm guessing 70 or 71 because of the cool trim. What's the grille look like?
Its a Cool story and hope to see it get fixed up.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I own a brown ford too. It’s a 1975 f350 supercab with a 460.

I like the body style, and this body has no rust, and is amazingly straight. It has a FE motor, 360, (wish it was a 390,) and I remember it running really good. Get the carb on, and start it up, if it runs like it should, then flush and fill routine, probably Raptor line the bed, Shampoo the seats and carpet, yes it has carpet....It is a camper special, so 8200 gross, has an adjustable back bumper, and that butt ugly thing works, but you can't pull a horse trailer as there are only pinch bolts holding it on. Charlie is walking on clouds, I'm tickled, all good. 95 deg. here today, looking forward to cooler weather.

The 360 is still a really good engine and might do better on fuel. My friends 75 has the 360 and does pretty good. His does have some kinda rv cam in it and I think that helps allot. Might say it thinks it's a 390 lol.

Also has those cool steps, I would almost kill for, but Charlie will like them. Also has true dual exhaust with long tube headers, and nice E-Brock old school valve covers. Soon as we get the carb, the engine is waterproof, then I will Gunk it and wash it down. Want to take off the Valve covers and polish them on my buffer, pretty up the engine compartment, little paint....I hope she's a peach, for our girl.

A Thermoquad? Those are Chryslers thing. Actually really good carb. They unfortunately used a composite center section. Better carb than they got the credit for.

Ford used quadrajets on some applications. And even on Fords they were not a one size fits all, different carb numbers, and configurations based on what they were putting them on.

Yup... that's where the "Cobra Jet" name came from.
