The vacuum thermostat for my 82's Thermac system is no longer working. Original NOS parts are going for stupid money for people restoring old cars to factory stock. Carter makes a similar part but I don't know if it would work. Currently I have the vacuum line that actuates the flapper plugged. It gets really cold where I live and it would be useful to have. I think the AC number is 305494613522. Attached is a pic I found online.

Not the answer you're looking for,but a cheap simple solution. Replace the temp sensor with, with an aquarium valve, make sure supply is hooked to manifold vacuum. Winter months open the aquarium valve, summer months close it. The flap will open and close depending on throttle position,so it won't starve for air when your in the throttle, but will provide heat to the carb at idle and cruise.
