Did this K20 come factory with catalytic converter?

my 85 k20 has the C6P option which, as you said, put it over the threshold for 'no cats'. i don't know the specifics of the camper special though a non C6P k20, of that era, would have cats i expect. i'm no expert or even a novice at what a truck needs to pass inspection in states that require...

2005 Ram 2500 Free Spin Install & Other Goodies

i was just messing with ya when you asked what will fill the void. :) the hemi and i are outside of salem, which is south of rolla. this pic is from getting the rear brakes squared away but you can see the rear wheel arches are rotten. just cosmetics. the poor ol' truck starts/runs great...

1973 - 1987 Step Side fender splash aprons

'monkey is sad now AGAIN at least here, i'm not the person who built/designed/tested the subject matter for decades. when i try to help people on an amateur radio forum, i feel like this thread. over 30 years in the biddnezz doesn't count for nuffin' OP some of the most informed people jumped...

    Intro & opinion

mighty kind, but now i'm sad i'm a hermit that never goes anywhere. way too far even for sweet truck parts. :( i'll live. stepside might have been over played from time to time but if you go stepside, it would be SWEET. flatbed are useful but my memories are always stake sides 6 feet tall...

Hard starting after sitting for a few days

i am sub-novice skill/understanding level but i'll share my sure-fire startup ;) turn key on, half a beat while my chinamart tach 'calibrates' itself. slow press of gas pedal to floor with slow release. crank truck. 1thousand one, 1thousand two, 1thousand three (maybe a 1thousand four) -if...

    Old Bedliners

i've found those hard plastic 'corrugated/channelized' liners don't trap moisture as bad as some. air can move around a little better than the rubber mat stuff that seems to accelerate the rust-out process. :) good luck 'monkey

    Rochester Quadrajet Woes

the divorced choke is a good sign it's the 'right time frame' quadrajet. my '85 uses an electric 'all on the carb' choke. i agree that not firing on ether or dribbled gas down the throat points at an ignition problem. maybe in addition to a fuel delivery issue. (my truck came with a...

    Rear drum spring kit

they look like back plate access hole plugs (the rectangular things) you gotta put the drums on with the brake shoes 'not expanded' then you spin the star adjuster through the access hole to get the shoes 'up close and personal' to the drums. 'monkey

WebMonkey's latest melt down, poor ol' me, hissy fit. (yes, I'm WebMonkey)

:) yes, i'm a big ol' baby about everything but mostly the temperature. below 70F and i might as well stay inside wrapped in a woobie. 'monkey

WebMonkey's latest melt down, poor ol' me, hissy fit. (yes, I'm WebMonkey)

RockAuto delivers front and rear brake pads. it's 45F outside but hey, got a wood stove in the garage right? only 1 light bulb and a trouble light but don't complain, be thankful, fix the brakes and drive on suckah! fronts are done, passenger side inner was the noise maker. put a little stop...

Engine Block Heater for SBC 350

dunno! furthest back i can remember was the 60s in nebraska and dad had an extension cord run out to the driveway in the winter. watched him unplug that thing everytime he drove off to work. 'monkey see, 'monkey do :)

Engine Block Heater for SBC 350

chemistry! :) battery chemical reaction slows, even stops at low temperatures. used to have battery warming wraps to keep the battery in the sweet spot of temperature to deliver full discharge/charge. the coolest battery, lifepo4 is very intolerant of cold temps. parents kept spare flashlight...
