Did this K20 come factory with catalytic converter?
my 85 k20 has the C6P option which, as you said, put it over the threshold for 'no cats'. i don't know the specifics of the camper special though a non C6P k20, of that era, would have cats i expect. i'm no expert or even a novice at what a truck needs to pass inspection in states that require...- WebMonkey

Old Bedliners
i've found those hard plastic 'corrugated/channelized' liners don't trap moisture as bad as some. air can move around a little better than the rubber mat stuff that seems to accelerate the rust-out process. :) good luck 'monkey -

Rear drum spring kit
they look like back plate access hole plugs (the rectangular things) you gotta put the drums on with the brake shoes 'not expanded' then you spin the star adjuster through the access hole to get the shoes 'up close and personal' to the drums. 'monkey -

chemistry! :) battery chemical reaction slows, even stops at low temperatures. used to have battery warming wraps to keep the battery in the sweet spot of temperature to deliver full discharge/charge. the coolest battery, lifepo4 is very intolerant of cold temps. parents kept spare flashlight...- WebMonkey
