Do you still have the original type, thick mounting gasket? They are maybe 5/16" thick or thereabouts and also act as an insulator.

FYI, TBI primarily uses MAP for fuel trim. O2 sensor only effects trim after reaching operating temp and usually will not stay hot...

Yep you have different plugs. I also vote fuel starvation. Pump, lines or filter.
