The answer is a 4-53T 2 stroke Detroit of course. For simplicity, and ease of the swap the a Cummins really is probably the best way...

Good point. When we got our truck the first thing I pushed for was aftermarket wheels. The old man wasn't going to do it for reasons...

Leave it alone. It's a survivor and should be respected. I never got the idea of making a truck look like the suspension had failed...
