Yup I was surprised how much of the early style console is cast metal. The OBS torpedo style is plastic, and they are easy to break.

The doors and motors for them are prone to wearing out. Also the gaskets/seals shrink and then you get air coming out different places...

I've heard from many sources that Pennsylvania vehicle inspections are notoriously picky. Especially about frame and body rust.....
