Not sure what to name this truck yet, but for now we'll call it FrankenBurb. I recently bought it at a great price from a couple in rural Illinois. They pieced her together from several other Suburbans, creating a monster! Her husband performed most of the mechanical work, and she performed most of the body work. While it needs a lot of TLC, it runs and drives pretty strong and is 99% rust/dent free.
Engine: TBI 350 of unknown origin, supposedly with ~120k miles. Runs very strong.
Transmission: Factory 700r4, feels like it has a shift kit and tears through forward gears, however reverse is loud and weak?
T-Case: Factory NP241c, a little leaky but shifts through all gears smoothly. Front driveshaft is missing so im unsure of how it will perform under load...
Front axle: Dana 44 8-lug, supposedly a 3:42 from a 1977. In great shape except for a busted lockout hub.
Rear axle: 14 bolt FF with 13" drums, also supposedly a 3:42 from a 1977. Has a bad pinion seal and perhaps a bad bearing.
Interior: Grey Silverado trim package, in pretty good shape except for the lunar landscape dashboard and several missing pieces.
Wheels: 17x8 Eagle Something or Anothers
Tires: 265/70r17 E load, Bridgestone Duravis m700 in back and BFG Rugged Trail TA up front.
Suspension: Factory 1/2 ton front, 1 ton rear.
