You are right I meant to say 1st gear in a 700r4 2.73 is approximately the same as as Th350/Th400 3.55 .Getting it rolling is the hard... -

careful on that, depending on the year 700r4 this may or may not allow the converter to lockup, which if it doesnt will toast the trans...

Leave it out of OD. If it starts gear hunting between second and third, shift it into second until it'll maintain third..
