Carb at high alt
A simple low buck fix. Fab a spray bar for front top of the radiator core, simple pipe w/ small holes. Attach to a gallon or 2 water supply & divert your windshield washer pump or any 12v switch controlled pump. The gauge will drop in minutes.- Copymutt

Engine cranks, but only starts after letting off key? - I'm perplexed
Not at all familiar w/ your ECU set up. However some get whacky from radio interference. Easy enough to disconnect the hot to the radio or any com device in the truck.- Copymutt

Dually guys, need your opinions!
I ran duals for a year on the K20. Black valley flashing screwed to the wheel well lip looked better than the numerous busted fiberglass fenders seen around here. I abandoned the duals after one winter of following the crown to the barrow ditches. -
396 with Edelbrock 1406 running issue
At the risk of being shunned, pull that 1406 off & replace with a Qjet.- Copymutt

Vapor lock or something else?
Sounds like blockage in the vent line to the charcoal canister. I could be all wet as 74’s don’t have that emission device.- Copymutt

Do I need an electric fuel pump!
Common for carbs that sit for extended periods. Elec. pump as a primer will fix it. Or borrow that little squeeze bulb off one of your chain saws!- Copymutt
