https://lt1swap.com/airconditioning.htm This has good info on what is necessary, 99-02 are the easiest to do this with. I will have to reference my notes from the swaps I have done to remember the process I did it in.
While I agree I don't like the idea of using propane, it takes significantly less propane than freon to charge an AC system. It's generally 30-40% of the original R12. So if your system took 3lbs of R12 it would be closer to 1lb of propane.
Or replace that compressor with a sanden/sanden style compressor and use some aftermarket brackets. Alan Grove components makes the for the long water pump and short water pump.
I wish I could take credit for the list but another gentleman put that together, I don't know what he ended up putting it at. I took mine to Napa to get them to crimp the fittings on the suction line so I could clock them however I needed to. Not sure if you have one local to you but they didn't...
If your 6.0 has a return line on the fuel rail it's easy enough to just run a new feed line from the tank and use the original(carburetor) feed line for your return back to the tank. You can use the 87 TBI saddle tanks, they are baffled. I haven't messed with the dual tank stuff so I can't help...
I used the factory throttle cable on my 86 C20 Suburban with a 454 when I had the Holley Sniper on it. Should be fine for the Terminator as well. (I've since swapped it to a 6.0/4L80E, 454 and Sniper going into my 72 C10.)
They own the rights to the lowers for C10's, but the C20 and C30 LCA's are abundantly made by multiple sources.
@ByrdDog how does the quality of the control arms seem? You know how reviews go so it would be nice to get a first hand enthusiast's opinion on them. Putting together the parts to...
These were for a 1981. The color on my 1986 was a pink wire. But there are multiple pink wires on the on the cluster, pink with a black stripe I believe was 12v to the instrument cluster.
Found these on another forum. Looks like you're looking for a Tan wire with a White stripe. The harness comes out of the bulkhead connector and runs down the drivers side frame rail with your tail light harness.
I used a combo of the stock AC lines from the Square and the stock lines from the donor (2001 Suburban 2500) on my 86 Suburban, I also used the stock LS low mount compressor. I had hoses made up by coldhose.com for my aunt's 86 C10 LS swap.
Coldhose sells adapters for the Denso compressors so...
That distribution block needs 12v going to it. When you move the climate control to any of the AC settings it should energize a green wire going to the low pressure cut off switch on the accumulator. Just to test and see if you get 12v out of one of the green wires in your second picture you can...
