Not really. It's much easier to simply remove the trans, get it out of the way so the flexplate can be removed and new one installed...

While I don't have a dual wheel hub sitting here in front of me, I can't envision any reason why that new stud won't work just fine.

ali_c20 replied to the thread 73 C30 C&C Wheel Stud Replacement.The shoulder does not support much. It's the knurled part that matters and it's the same length as the old one. You're good to go.
