When I get to that point, I'll see how the 2 piece seal fits on the spindle. They are supposed to lock on the spindle and the hub side...

I always polish seal contact areas even with a worn grove, with 400 grit wet or dry sand paper, make sure the grove area gets good...

Correct. Full time hubs weren't used after the '79 model year. At any rate, you can replace full time drive slugs with manual locking...

A little diesel in your gas won't hurt a thing,some guys intentionally add it as top end lubricant. I think it's BS but it doesn't hurt...
