The circuit has to be complete for the light to burn. if schematic is not helping try working from the receptacle to the point of power. broke wire makes sense. Ohms law comes to mind.- ajdouble

LilRobert1367, yes, the transmission with the detent hookup is for the auto transmission. If I understand correctly the detent purpose, downshift from third to second or first gear all depending on MPH speed you are traveling. Looking at the pic of your truck, mine is a mirror image.- ajdouble

LilRobert1367, The two images show where the spring and the accelerator cable attach onto the valve cover. if you look close the springs and the cable are not hooked up to the carb in one of the pics. The two combined springs will pull the accelerator linkage back to the home position. The...- ajdouble

would this help. from what i am seeing from your truck photo i have the twin. I have disconnected the kick back,throttle and spring from the rochester verejet II from carburetor. Any and all information you can pass this way would be very much appreciated.- ajdouble
