If you decide to set the original radio aside, you can get a more modern type head unit from Retro Manufacturing. The truck I bought actually had one (poorly) installed when I got it. Now its wired correctly its not bad. Also has bluetooth/aux cord connection capabilities.

I like either way with either thing.... I scroll google looking at images of all the other trucks out there with various combinations to compare mine to in my head. I have debating a hood for close to two years now since mine is tweaked... still undecided :rolleyes:
Just to stretch your imaginations a little, here's my 86 with my 2010 Camaro wheels,
275/35/21 in the rear, 245/40/21 in the front :cool: this was only for a day to see how it looked
Also check your physical connections under the dash for the speed control switch and on the wiper motor itself. My 86 (no delay) had the wiring harness changed before I got it and only worked on low speed, also the blades would not return to park when shut off. Come to find out the harness...
I just swapped a Holley Sniper system on my 86 C10 with a 454 last year, this was formerly a carbed 305 truck. I don't believe the FiTech is much different in the aspect it will control all the same things as the Holley depending on how you decide to wire it and the parameters you chose in their...
