What’s this and where does it go

BTW...you should replace that nylon line with a copper one before the nylon line blows out and drains your engine of all its oil.

Looks like you have a manual oil pressure gauge installed. That connector went to an electric oil pressure/idiot light sending unit.

    Hubcap restoration

Oven cleaner will strip the anodize. After its off you can polish them, repaint the details and seal the aluminum with Shine Seal or Shark Hide.

    Bed Floor Patch Panels

Thanks! You saved me $45. Guess I'll have to work on fabricating my own.

    Bed Floor Patch Panels

Has anyone used this bed floor patch panel from AMD? Do the ribs line up and are the contours correct?

    1980 Door Speakers

Does anyone have a set of 1980 door speakers that they'd like to sell? Like the ones in this picture. I don't necessarily need the speakers. Just the shells. Color is not important as I can dye them to match my door panels.

    GMC orange color code

I use Duplicolor Orange-Red Engine Enamel. I have a set of NOS 73-74 grill letters that I compared the color to and its nearly an exact match.

Looking for 1973-1974 GMC Tailgate lettering.

I know this is an older post but did you find your tailgate letters? I have a couple sets (maybe more) of varying condition.

    Fender Antenna

I believe the fender mounted antenna was an option. It seems that if you had a camper or ladder rack etc. that hangs over the roof and windshield you would lose reception so GM made the option.

    Fleetside tool box...

That pic in the brochure is a little off from the actual tool compartment. These things were notorious for rust which is why they probably quit making them after 75. The door had vent holes but no coating on the inside so they rusted out. The hinges would get rusty and make it hard to open...
