at least its not an aux tank on a 1967-1972 chevy, this is an aftermarket solution someone could have ended up stabbing a hole in your bed floor for :superhack:

Been runnin on empty for 40 miles!

if you can find a good bedside and filler neck id think that would be the best fit, but i would do return style fuel system at the same time if i were you but its all your choice of course.

You can get a new "top" for yoiur john deere hood pretty affordably, as long as your lower hood is ok. you have tape on it but if you can epoxy weld the crack and its not trying to fall apart on you, the top is still over 50$ but you can just screw it on and it will give it more structure and...

the only thing I would say is what is the fuel tank switching valve, is it the motorized pollack valve? or is it the old solenoid? Theres a chance that its pulling gas out of the other tank and that tank if its the old style. also would be interested in seeing what the aux tank looks like

What new tools have you got lately?

Yes I agree, im fortunate I have a lot of old quality ish taps from my gpa but none of them were organized, and a lot of them have surface rusted so I cant read them for the size some of the time. But im working on getting them all together, then sorting. Got about 2 coffee cans worth of them...

What new tools have you got lately?

i have a plastic case set from menards.. pure junk. probably can clean threads ok but for cutting them.. no. the taps were better than the dies in this regard, but the hardness on the taps doesnt seem up to snuff. Now the hardness on my plug thread chaser is really nice, but that only has 2...

What new tools have you got lately?

I last bought sunco LED tubes to do my shed (Had to do about 40 between my house and shed and garage and a couple for family.) I have yet to have a single tube fail, 4 of them have been constantly on since 2019 except for power losses once in a while. Great light output, and single ended...

How can i separate my rotor from hub? Looks like its all one piece need help!

sounds like the friction material is very specific formulation of things that need to be heated just right to wear properly. the brakes last longer 1) because the rear brakes now do more than they used to 2) the surfaces are larger 3) they cool better 4) the materials have changed from...

Proportioning valve vs. load sensing valve

for the GM reasons its more or less "if the truck is outside of factory specifications, remove the thing." and that could mean clapped suspension, lift blocks, wider tires, etc.

you could also have fuel drain back (separate issue entirely) or you could be looking at a vapor lock one too

    Edelbrock 660 electric choke

ASV2? if its a two wire choke the choke heater is to help it open faster than if it wasnt hooked up. when warm your engine still benefits from a closed choke, but as soon as its running its actually not needing it much if at all, the heater ensures it props open. without it im sure its...

How can i separate my rotor from hub? Looks like its all one piece need help!

There was a feller on this forum not long ago.. maybe it was gmt400... who is very insistent than brake burnishing is a lie pushed by Big Friction for the purpose of (??????). He never actually could say why its pushed but insisted that it must be in bad faith anyway. Without claiming that...

How can i separate my rotor from hub? Looks like its all one piece need help!

Most auto store chains im pretty sure offer turning rotors.. but my local oreillies did it for someone once, and my god their lathe machine thingy needed new bits or something because the rotors had no reflective surface left on the faces and the surface was a rough and bumpy but relatively flat...

only recent advances allow those bearings to go without a spindle of some kind, or shaft, which applies preload on the bearings. The OEM ones without shafts as 2wd are new age design stuff!

4x4 have larger centers because an axle shaft has to poke through while a 4x2 has to handle less weight on the front and has no axle shaft, just a spindle to support the bearings and thus the hub /rotor itself.
